Pastor Lulu Jackson

Great Woman of Excellence:

Former President of the International Missionary and Christian Women’s Auxiliary

Pastor Lulu Jackson, Pastor of the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Waterbury, Connecticut, was born October 17, 1907, in Cobs, Georgia.  She was saved at the age of 21 at the Emmanuel Church of Christ, Newark, New Jersey.

In 1937, the Lord sent Pastor Jackson to Waterbury, Connecticut – to establish a church in Jesus’ name.  Her work grew continually as she preached the gospel of Jesus Christ on a weekly radio broadcast.  In 1961, a larger church was purchased and God continued to bless.  However, in 1979, the church was completely destroyed by fire.  In less than a year, by the grace of God, another building was purchased.

Pastor Jackson traveled extensively in the United States and many foreign countries.  She was a board member of Aenon Bible College, and had been awarded numerous trophies and plaques from various Councils around the world.

Pastor Jackson was a woman of great wisdom, and was determined to do the will of God.   She also has written several songs, and her theme was said to be: “Faith in God can move a mighty mountain, faith can calm the troubled sea, faith can make the desert like a fountain, and faith can give us glorious victory.”
