Pastor Winifred Nunes

Great Woman of Excellence

Former President of the International Missionary and Christian Women’s Auxiliary

Pastor Winifred Nunes is the newly elected President of the International Missionary and Christian Women’s Auxiliary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.  She resides in Hartford, Connecticut, and in the founding pastor of the New Testament Tabernacle.  The church had its humble beginnings in July 1988, as God opened the doors with a place to worship.  The members moved into this building with donations of 50 chairs, 25 hymn books, 9 Bibles and some cash donations that helped to purchase a baptismal pool and build the rostrum.

In 1993, the church relocated to its present sanctuary.  Throughout the years, many souls have come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.  Pastor Nunes’ television program, “Exploring the Bible” has also been a part of the church’s outreach ministry.

Prior the becoming the President of the IMCWA she worked her way through the ranks, serving on several committees, and then as the First Vice-President of this dynamic auxiliary.
